The M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan, recently made several enhancements to its 2022 Season of All Things Automotive. For its two signature events–the Woodward Dream Show (WDS) and American Speed Festival–the facility’s staff has announced lower ticket prices, new on-track experiences, food trucks, more family-focused activities and Comerica Bank as the presenting sponsor.

The Woodward Dream Show now becomes a one-day event, on Friday, August 19. Among the many festivities includes a celebration for 55 years of the Pontiac Firebird and an Insider’s Garage panel discussion hosted by WCSX’s Jim O’Brien. The following day, Saturday, August 20, they’ll host the Woodward Dream Cruise. It consists of a parade of 200 vehicles selected from 20 invited car clubs and community members.

The American Speed Festival (September 29–October 2) features a wealth of additions. A new Speed and Style Expo Car Show and Art Exhibit takes place on Sunday. It contains race cars, performance cars, muscle cars, classics and exotics that represent and define performance and speed. Two days of on-track racing and demonstrations take place on Friday through Saturday. The festival also celebrates 60 years of Shelby American and 75 years of Ferrari.

Classic Motorsports columnist and recent Motorsports Hall of Fame of America inductee Peter Brock will receive the Master of Motorsports at the Checkered Flag Ball on Saturday. Proceeds from the ball go to M1 Mobility, which provides transportation solutions to residents seeking to access community resources in Pontiac.

I'm a Detroit area local who enjoys events at M1 including last years innaugural  American Speed Festival.  The venue is small though nice.  Last years event had some great vehicles on track and on display.
Last Saturday was a huge C&C and I was speaking with a member if M1 management.  They have confirmation from a number of owners of high end and significant race cars that are attending this years event.  It should be really good this year.
