Also, as they would say on 4chan, SATANIC TRIPS!
Referencing Satan in the first post of page 666. Well done!!
Dear cold-calling salespeople: If I think your product will be helpful, I will be in touch, but I am under no obligation to take time out of my day to tell you I have no interest in your product. Also, calling within minutes of emailing me, or vice-versa, tells me you don't respect my time and will guarantee you don't get a response.
Does this piss off anyone else?

Happy now, shiny happy person?
Tried to steer the conversation away from politics in my office by talking about the new 2018 Mustang and mentioning how I found the "good neighbor" quiet exhaust setting interesting.
I wasn't aware even THAT could be made political. I really wish we were allowed to wear headphones in here.

Re: Cold calling salesman...
My front desk tells them to email the office and if I'm interested I'll get back to them. The more persistent ones call several more times to see if I saw the email and I'm interested.
Love hearing my front desk tell them "Did he get back to you? No? Then he's not interested!" click....

I think 'uncorked rotary' would also be acceptable...
My own rant:
SWMBO has been at her parents' in WI visiting family and meeting her new nephew this week and was supposed to have landed back at CVG (an hour and change from home in LEX, flights were way cheaper...) 15 minutes ago. She texted that they were FINALLY pulling away from the gate at O'hare right about when she was supposed to be landing. So for the next hour and a half or so I'll be hanging around at a rest stop about 15 minutes from the airport until it gets closer to when she'll hopefully land.
Oh, and did I mention I have the dog in the car too, since she really wanted him to be there to meet her too? Fun times...

My biggest complaint about this forum is our inability to even discus (redacted).
A dedicated sub forum for it would be nice if people could refrain from flinging feces at the walls.
that right there is a "you started it" mode if i ever saw one

You mean I could have hung out with you and Marley last night and you didn't call
I placed a add on craiglsit looking for a Parts car for my e30 race car. I specify that I am looking for cheap and doesnt have to be running and i need it for my race car. I have people contacting me trying to sell their garbage e30's for $4500!!!! I think there is too many zeros. The other people that have reasonable priced, I work the deal, tell them I can pick it up this weekend, they agree, then I never hear from them again to confirm. I think need to go with a newer car, or something.
Worked 16.5 hrs yesterday. Got home at 10:45pm. Slept 2 hrs and got up for work at 3am.

As happens every time, I get a busy week at work leading up to Saturday's autocross. Nonetheless, I've powered through it (except for fixing the the Manic Miata's brake lights). The admin side has gone really well and easily.
Registrations are strong, and we don't have to share the lot with our drift program this time so we get a lot of course area. Lots of drivers we haven't seen in a while are coming out. Everybody is excited.
So of course rain and thunderstorms are predicted all day. Berking A.
And, to add insult to injury, today is decent and Sunday is supposed to be gorgeous. Cheese-and-berking-rice.

Sorry- didn't think you really wanted to drive out at midnight on a Thursday to hang out at a rest stop.
