Florida is far, far more than Disney World and the tourist Mecca that is Orlando. There are beautiful roads with breathtaking scenery if you know the right places to go, all just in the short distance between Amelia Island and Sebring. That’s why we decided to bring back the Orange Blossom Tour for 2013.

One of the greatest things about Florida is the perpetual good weather: It was sunny and warm for the duration of the 2013 Orange Blossom tour, and the convertibles in the group could ride with the top down all the time if they so desired. The tour even cruised by the Classic Motorsport’s world headquarters in Holly Hill, and tour attendants could talk cars with all the Classic Motorsports staff.

Some beautiful machinery joined us on this tour. We had a beautiful short-wheelbase Ferrari and not one but two drop-top Bentleys. When we weren’t staring at the awe-inspiring machines riding with us, we were visiting the excellent private collections of Brumos and National Parts Depot. At Brumos, our tour guide was none other than legendary racing driver Hurley Haywood himself.

Capping off a wonderful week was the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. Our group had a great time. Will we do this again for 2014? Keep an eye on our site. To make sure you don’t miss anything, contact Debbie and she’ll keep you in the loop. Extra reading: Our guests from Chubb Collector Car Insurance blogged about the event, too.

We couldn’t have done this event without the help of our generous sponsors: Chubb Collector Car Insurance, Exotic Car Transport and Swissvax.
