Car Catcher: A Porsche 924 Turbo Configured to Mimic a Carrera GT

Sponsored Content Presented by Fantasy Junction.

Introduced in 1979, the 924 Turbo added more power to the already successful Porsche 924. Porsche also tacked on a number of other features that helped to differentiate the Turbo model from the naturally aspirated one, with the most notable being the off-centered NACA duct in the hood.

This 1980 Porsche 924 Turbo is particularly unique as it was configured when first purchased to be a replica of the much more limited Carrera GT model. Specifically, this meant adding an intercooler to the engine, replacing a number of body panels with fiberglass versions, and lowering the car by a little over an inch.

Reported to currently be wearing 126,523 miles on the odometer, the 924 Turbo features a Minerva blue exterior with a black interior with unique Martini-style seat and door inserts.

This 1980 GT Specification Porsche 924 Turbo is available through Fantasy Junction for $48,500.

A nice car, but wildly overpriced!

Didn't sell @ $9500 on BaT in 2017

Offered in 2019 on Pelican for $13000

Probably a $15k-20k car depending on the current condition and mantinance done since the 2017 auction.
