New Face in the SVRA Management Team

The Sportscar Vintage Racing Association announced a couple managerial changes today. Roger Linton, who has served for three years as SVRA National Director for Tech and Rules Compliance, is moving into the new position of National Director of Business & Race Operations. Rick Parent will replace Linton as the National Director for Tech and Rules Compliance.

We’re glad to see vintage racing expanding. The managerial move means that Roger Linton will be working full time to assist President and CEO Tony Parella with business development and overall SVRA operations and, ideally, grow the organization even further.

Hmmmmm SVRA is running the Portland Historics for the first time this year.....

Not sure what, if anything will be different... in the past it had gotten too expensive, and kinda boring... I tended to walk around take some pics... and then leave.

Hopefully this year it might be better???

It will be interesting to see. This year's entry was initially more then years past. I believe this was keeping a lot of the locals on the sideline. I did get an update, they lowered it by $50, probably because their early registration numbers were way down. I'm sitting out this year, due to mechanical issues, but I'm eager to see how Tony can improve the event.
