Vignale Spiders built using a Ferrari 250 MM chassis. Add to that an extensive race history–including the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio–and you have a special car, indeed.
While there may be 12 Vignale Spiders, each one is unique. This one, 0274 MM, was the first of three configured with a staggered seating arrangement and a 150-liter fuel tank.
In addition to competing in the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio in 1953 with noted Italian driver Piero Scotti, the Ferrari also features a well-documented history compiled by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini.
Find this 1953 Ferrari 250 MM Spider Series II up for auction at Gooding & Company, with an estimated winning bid of $3,000,000-$5,000,000.
