They run some really low tire pressures in the rear!

What do famed racer Derek Bell and Pink Floyd manager Steve O’Rourke have in common? Both raced this 911 GT3 at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2000, alongside Tim Sugden and Stephen Day, under the EMKA Racing banner.
Later, under the ownership of Vic Lee Racing, the Porsche secured two podium finishes in rounds 1 and 2 of the 2004 British GT Championship, both at Donington Park.
When its most recent owner, GruppeM Racing, acquired the car ahead of the 2005 racing season, the team had it upgraded from 911 R to 911 RSR specifications. (This is apparently done by installing a six-speed sequential gearbox.)
The Porsche’s final and most recent outing was at the 1000 Km of Silverstone in 2005, where it crashed after driver Tim Sugden was “briefly blinded at Luffield by a bright trackside TV screen.” The car was rebuilt and reshelled following the incident.
While former Ruf engineer Reinhold Schmirler’s RS Tuning rebuilt the 911's engine in 2015 at a cost of some €54,000, or about $60,000, the seller notes that the car has not been driven since and should be mechanically inspected before racing again.
Find this 2000 Porsche 911 GT3 R 'RSR Specification' for auction from RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of €180,000-€300,000 (approximately $200,000-$333,000 USD).
