Sure, the GT35 isn't the first time Shelby shoved a big V8 into a relatively lightweight sports car, but it is arguably the most recognizable of his works.

This example is a first-year model, and is reported to have been returned to “as close to factory stock condition as possible” in 2020 by Burlingame Motors, Inc.

The interior has also been restored using correct components and an “appropriate attention to detail.”

Find this 1965 Shelby GT350 Mustang available from Fantasy Junction for $409,000.

I still want one of these so bad! I have seen this car in person and it is stunning.

The link below was my Uncles car. He married my moms younger sister and bought this on their honeymoon.   A few small irrelevant details are off but it's a great story.

My Uncle Bud was a diehard sports car guy.  He and my Aunt scored races at Road America in the early 60's and he took my dad and I to a CanAm race in his Vega once.  In the 90's I'd run into him wandering around Road America and just hanging out.

I ran into my Aunt and cousin at a wedding 3 years ago then later I made an offer to buy the car but they weren't ready.  I was thinking $250,000 was a good offer but obviously I had a crack pipe in my hand.
