Motorsports royalty? This Ford Capri was prepped for Prince Michael of Kent to compete in the 1973 Avon Tour of Great Britain–one of three such Capris put together for the event.
Later that same year, after racing in the 24 Hours of Spa, the Capri took part in a one-off race Österreichring (now known as the Red Bull Ring) with an up-and-coming racer by the name of Niki Lauda.
The Ford continued to race until it was put into storage in 1975, where it lay dormant for over 35 years.
The current owner acquired the Capri in 2018 and subsequently treated it to a full repaint and mechanical overhaul. The work, not including the purchase price, cost more than £100,000 ($129,600) in total.
