Sure, Elvis loved cars, but he also loved jets, too, as witnessed here with his 1962 Lockheed 1329 Jetstar. It may not fit in your garage, but it makes for an excellent addition to the collection of any Elvis fan.

Elvis bought the plane on December 22, 1976, for $840,000 (nearly $4.4 million when adjusted for inflation). The next year, he would pass away in August. The Lockheed 1329 Jetstar was one of several jets Elvis owned.

This jet came with many amenities, including red velvet upholstery, gold-finish hardware, wood paneling, a Kenmore microwave and a TV with an RCA VCR.

The jet was stored for decades at the Roswell International Air Center–where it remains today–with the engines plus and many of the cockpit components have been removed. The aircraft will require disassembly to be transported.

The Lockheed 1329 Jetstar comes with documentation, including a copy of the Aircraft Security Agreement document signed by Elvis Presley.

Find this 1962 Lockheed 1329 Jetstar up for auction at Mecum’s 2023 Kissimmee auction on January 4-15.
