One of the first Honda automobiles exported to America | Honda N600 for sale

The Civic may get much of the praise as one of Honda’s earliest successes in America, though that might not have happened were it not for the tiny N600.

This example from 1970 is reported to have been sold new in Inglewood, California, and comes equipped with a dealer-added “racing cam.”

Reported to have been mechanically refurbished by N600 specialist Tim Mings, the seller also notes that the white exterior “may well be the original paint.”

Find this 1970 Honda N600 available through ShiftGate Automotive Auctions. Values on Bring a Trailer are a little over the place, though a few recent sales have topped $25,000.

My wife had one of these, identical except for the wing mirrors. Before that she had an orange Z600 coupe. Incredibly fun cars to drive flat-out (which is how you would drive all the time). A small group of owners used to get together in Santa Clara for "thrasher runs".
