Porsche Motorsport only made approximately 40 of its 1995 Porsche 911 Cup 3.8 for ’95, and this was the only one to be delivered to the U.S. That’s because Bridgestone used it to promote its new S-02 tire.

It remains incredibly period-correct because it performed promotional duty rather than race duty. The 911 retains its matching numbers M64/70 flat-six engine and its correct type (and likely matching) G50/30 six-speed manual transmission.

Despite a lack of competition history, it did have significant names behind the wheel of the car as it toured IndyCar events to promote the new tire. Those names include David Murry and Hurley Haywood.

Find this 1995 Porsche 911 Cup up for bid from Broad Arrow Auctions, with an expected winning bid of $250,000-$300,000.
