Good-looking classics don’t need to be high maintenance. Case in point: This drop-top Karmann-Ghia.

Finished in light blue over a cream interior, the VW currently shows 82,313 miles, though the seller notes that true mileage is unknown.

The listing also notes the car comes with “some previous service history.”

How much for the 30th anniversary ND in the background? (And don't we all know what the answer always is...)

My first car was a 1958 Karmann-Ghia -- low headlights, individual chrome slats in the horn grills, little Cobra tailllights, and a 36-bhp 1200 with a single carb about the size of a demitasse cup. My dad bought it new, then his job changed and he needed something woth more space AND power to pull the Sierra foothills. But it ended up at my grandparents' house for the next dozen years or so, till I turned 16 and it became mine. I used to daydream about taking a can opener to the graceful C-pillars (and maybe something a little sturdier to the top above the windshield), but never did.

Yes, the answer is always Miata.  I love that RF!  Not currently for sale.  Miatas taught me how to drive fast, and in the collection I have the 1st Spec Miata ever built.  I hold the brand close to my heart.
