What a beautiful design. Looks like a Pinanfarina sculpture. Wish they could revive production. Nice article. Thankyou.

If you’re a fan of thinking about what if, this might be your car. If AC didn’t pursue the Cobra, it may have produced this MA-200 Roadster instead.
The prototype roadster is larger than the Ace/Cobra, with a spaceframe chassis and a 96-inch wheelbase. A 4.7-liter Ford V8 resides under the hood–the same engine the Cobra would eventually use.
The MA-200 rides on a coil-sprung independent suspension, with cantilevered upper links and lower wishbones up front and struts and wishbones at the rear. The prototype AC also uses inboard rear disc brakes and high-level rack-and-pinion steering.
Find this 1963 AC MA-200 Roadster Prototype up for auction at Bonhams, with an estimated winning bid of €450,000-€550,000 (approximately $490,725-$599,775).
