Porsche built only 21 examples of its Type 954 SC RS, and this is the final one made for FIA Group B rally competition. It’s considered to be among the rarest of RS variants.
The 911 is a matching-numbers example, too, with roughly 3200 miles on the clock. Over the course of its 40-year life, it’s just had two owners.
What are some of the most interesting features of this 911? It has a mechanically fuel-injected 3.0-liter engine, 911 Turbo bodywork (complete with lightweight aluminum body panels and fiberglass bumpers), 917-derived brakes and 935-style lollipop seats. As an added bonus, this is among the rarest Porsches that can still be registered for street use.
Find this 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS Gruppe B “Evolutionsserie” for auction at Broad Arrow Auctions, with an estimated value of $2,600,000-$3,500,000.
