The last regular production Jaguar E-Type

Photography Courtesy Silverstone Auctions

Two types of cars make the ultimate collector cars–the first and the last off the line. This 1974 Jaguar E-Type is the latter, with it considered being the last regular production E-Type produced.

The final 50 E-Types were known as the “E-Type Commemorative.” They featured a plaque bearing a facsimile of Sir William Lyons’ signature. The very last of these went to Jaguar’s own museum. This one is the last car to be sold to the public.

This example features a provenance spanning the world, from Edinburgh, to London, to Hong Kong, to Hawaii, to Austria. It was fully restored by marque experts in 2015.

Find this 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster up for auction at Silverstone Auctions, with an estimated winning bid of £160,000-£200,000 (approximately $199,248-$249,060).

Couldn't have made a more blatant grammatical faux pas here!

"Penultimate" means...wait for it...second to last!

The correct word in this case is ultimate.
