An automaker always tries to bring their best to an internationally renown event such as the Geneva Auto Show. In the case of the 1956 Geneva Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz brought this very 300 SL Gullwing.

Later on, in 1969, a Miss Georgina Garcia Conde bought the car for just $1500. For those of you thinking, well, that’s 1969 money. Okay, adjusted for inflation, that’s $13,000 in today’s Benjamins. She imported it into Mexico, where it has remained since.

In 1995, the 300 SL came into possession of the current family that owns it and the Gullwing underwent a restoration by a Pebble Beach award-winning specialist.
