Why is this 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport one of the rarest cars made by the German automaker? At the time of its introduction, it was the most expensive and fastest road-going model available from Porsche.

Porsche constructed only 15 examples of the GTS Club Sport, which was the FIA Group 4 homologation variant of the 924 Carrera GTR.

The Club Sport (Type 939) offered a number of improvements over the base GTS (Type 937). Among them included an aluminum roll cage; 935-style Lollipop seats; plastic door windows with sliding panels; a thinner, lighter front windshield; and an uprated 2.1-liter turbo engine with a larger intercooler producing 275 horsepower.

Find this 1981 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport for auction at Broad Arrow Auctions, with an estimated winning bid of $375,000-$450,000.
