I would think this Morgan would be worth much more.

After being rejected the year before by Le Mans scrutineers for a Morgan that seemed to be just a prewar car with disc brakes, Chris Lawrence had Peter Morgan build a new car, this Morgan Plus 4, No 4840. With co-driver Richard Shepherd-Baron, Lawrence and the Morgan-backed effort took home a class win at the 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Morgan remained competitive after that triumph. The hardware it accumulated on the mantel included the Spa Grand Prix class win, the Fred Dixon Challenge trophy, the Motor Sport Brooklands Memorial Trophy and a podium finish in the Nürburgring 1000km.
In this century, No. 4840 has made appearances in the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed and 2017 Goodwood Revival. The Morgan currently wears the same livery as it did when it won at Le Mans.
