With Petter “Mr. Hollywood” Solberg and Phil Mills, this Subaru Impreza S10 won the 2004 WRC Acropolis Rally. It once again wears the same livery as it did back then, as well much of the components it would have ran as a Prodrive car.
Automotive engineer Lionel Hansen acquired the car from Subaru Italy. With a background in F1 and rally, he knew what he was looking at. In regards to this example, he told Rallyes magazine: “At that time, when Prodrive sold a factory car to a privateer, they replaced certain components with less technologically advanced ones. In this instance though, this car is identical to the official version in which factory drivers used to race in.”
Prodrive built only 11 examples in this configuration. And, as Hansen alluded to, it retains much of what made it a Prodrive car. That includes “titanium hubs and five-stud rims, a hollow carbon rear wing, special chassis and bodywork, thin aeronautical-type roll cage tubes, Kevlar bumpers, aluminum bonnet and wings, a 315 hp turbo engine with a ‘bang’ system and a special cooling system, Reiger shock absorbers, water-cooled Alcon brake calipers with 6 pistons at the front and 4 pistons at the back.”
Find this 2004 Subaru Impreza S10 Prodrive for auction at Artcurial, with an estimated value of €300,000-€400,000 ($345,000-$460,000 USD).
