the damn IRS makes it tempting to grab and hold onto until I can wrench again, then turn it into a rallycross rig that would provide more smiles then should be legal.

It'd be good for that, provided you're proficient with a welder. KG's make awesome rallycross cars.

When I bought this car, it did run and drive; the drivetrain's in pretty decent shape. Not sure why it won't crank with the starter now, but the dash did light up when I connected a battery so it's probably just a bad connection at the starter. The engine does turn over by hand.

The rust repair was just more than I wanted to take on. It didn't look as bad when I bought it. Ghias rust in weird and prolific ways.
