My pleasure taking it. I was trying to get all the popular forum cars recorded and I think I hit that mark.

I think I see Alex Radcliffe's old Integra there. Sweet.

My understanding is that this is exactly correct. Damn impressive car too.

Finally had some time to sit down and do a first pass through the 700 pictures I took during the Challenge. I was just spectating and decided to play with my camera. Here are some good ones from the first 100 during the autocross.

I'll keep digging through and posting up my favorites.

Batch number 2. A few more of these turned out well.

How hard is it to get lost on the challenge autocross course? Not just miss a gate, but to actually be "where am I supposed to go now"?

It amuses me that the cheapest cars in our family always get the most detailing.

If you've autocrossed for more than a year, and walked the course more than twice it's hard to get lost. The problem is many of the drivers are new enough to autocross to not have done that before coming to the Challenge. Much like another group of the competitors don't know the basics of drag racing.

I found that watching the first batch of autocross runs from the top of the grandstand was helpful in getting the course committed to memory. Working the course for the second batch was useful for seeing where drivers were braking or turning in. You quickly learn to watch for the pro drivers in their lime green shirts, too.

Especially if your Challenge car never leaves the garage.

Round 3. I started playing with shutter speed at this point to get some motion blur. Success rate dropped, but a few turned out really well.

I love the barest hint of the chalk line getting whiffed.

Sure Stampie, you are welcome to the picture. I can email you the full resolution version if you want. Just shoot me an email to my username dot racing at Gmail and I'll reply with the picture.

This goes for anyone else too. Email me with your car number or description and I'll send you copies of any of the pictures of it that turned out. I can't guarantee that I got good pictures of everyone. I'm doing this for fun and practice as photography is my other hobby. I'd rather give the pictures away and they be enjoyed than just sitting on my hard drive.

They were exhibition class, I believe.  The yellow one was a dad driving against his son in the blue Z.

This s the first picture I've seen of the Crossfire.  When the entry sheet came out was the first time I knew there was going to be a Crossfire.  I had predicted a 12th place finish.  Instead, it got 21nd out of 38 for dynamic.  I guess that's mid pack but I predicted better.

I have said for a number of years now that the right Crossfire with the right damage could be bought cheap enough to compete.

Also on my list for quirky Chryslers are PT Cruiser Turbos (hardtop or convertible) as well as Maserati TC by Chrysler.

PT cruiser turbos for sure. I'd love to see someone chop one into a little race-trucklet.
