So this appeared overnight, anyone recognize it?

Just add another tick mark for every lap. This car and one other were dueling for most runs at the challenge.

Honestly if it still had power steering I probably would have rented a tow dolly to bring it home from the Challenge last year.

I know it well.  Pretty sure I kicked it's ass with an 85 Buick Riveria. 

I owned a Stick Shift Escort GT back in the day. It was set up for auto crossing. The thing handled great! I put in my own cold air intake on it. Fun to drive!  :0) That one looks the same year.

I enjoyed a couple of runs in it, as did several others. 
 

I suggested that we name it Town Bike.

Parts for the repair were procured this afternoon and I'm having to resist the temptation of picking up another BP and G series as I could have them out in about 90 minutes. 

I still need to weld up the Prius column to compensate for the PS delete. Add that to the list of things to get done before October. 

Also, I wish that I could post a video straight to here, without uploading it elsewhere (1st world problems) but I nuked the shift linkage in rather spectacular fashion.

That's a lot of talk from someone preaching their placing above the car last year, when they lost the dynamic score...

Maybe talk is the key to scoring on concourse.

I think it's sad that you still judge your car's worthiness against an 85 Buick Riviera. Our goals are normally higher but glad we could provide you a stretch goal last year. Let me know if you want to me to present your car this year. I'll start off with "this car almost beat an 85 Buick Riviera in last year's Challenge."  Maybe just that line would get your concourse score up to a 12.

Or you could say, I didn't purchase this car from the event organizer, but had they been selling it, I would have. That would also work.

I took a few laps in that one and had lots of fun.  The manual steering is part of the charm.
