I picked up a 2001 Boxster with a bad engine. It's a nice car with a bad engine. $1,600 purchase.

As I was taking the nice parts off for recoup, I realized it's a nicer chassis than the 1999 sitting next to it.

I want to trade chassis for chassis, 2001 for 1999. Detail here: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/build-projects-and-project-cars/challenge-boxster/154304/page2/#post2750541

Is it within the spirit and rules of the Challenge?

I would think that if you can document a Boxster for $2019, it would absolutely be within the spirit of The Challenge.

In fact, I think that is the spirit of The Challenge.

looks OK to me.   not like you're trying to trade for an S model with a manual trans or anything like that.

The only problem I see is engine pricing.  Functioning m96s are challenge budget busting as far as I’ve seen.  Max recoup is just 1k too otherwise I’d have tons more in my budget too.  I made a profit on my parts car, but can’t use it.
