Basically a Chevette right?

A Chevette? With those amazing snowflake wheels and wood-grained dash and premium gauge package...no sir!
Wow, I've never seen a set of wheels like that in front drive pattern. Phoenix SJ was like the X-11, this car is certainly not though. Wonder if its a 4 or V6?
My mom had an exact twin of that car for a few months when I was a kid until the engine blew up. Same woodgrain, same burgundy velour, maybe even same cigarette ashes on the floor. I bet that the A/C in that one smells like the cold dead breath of a zombie Marlboro man too.
If you are attracted to that, then you might find this interesting.
A complete stripper version. Likely has no options at all.
Aside from the manual trans, notice no A/C which then gives you the old style pull/push vent handles under the dash.
It even appears that you get one less dashboard vent.
Hard to say if the cloth interior, the FM portion of the radio and the hub caps were options.

In reply to JohnRW1621: Wow, that's really rare. I spent many years riding around in a Celebrity. My father used to get them as company cars. We had 3 or 4. They'd make it to about 60k miles and start falling apart, so they'd give him another. Don't know I've seen a 4spd version.

I know it's strange, but I think that is awesome.
Wow, I've never seen a Celebrity with a stick.
I had a couple of Celebrity's, one was a Eurosport with buckets and auto on the floor with the Iron Duke 4. Reliable car, went 220,000 miles and replaced the timing chain, sold at 240,000 and still ran strong.
I thought all Eurosports had the 2.8L V6? When I was a kid, I thought those Eurosports and other cars with the 2.8L and 3.1L had a cool exhaust note. Very distinctive. I kept trying to convince my father to get a Eurosport VR for his next company car.
Years ago my friends dad worked for GM. Somehow he special ordered one of those celebrity eurosports with a V6 and a manual trans. If I remember it was a 3.4L which was not available in the car. Don't remember exactly what the combo was, but he went on and on about how great the car was and how you could not buy the car with the package he had, and how it was the only one, yada yada yada. My reaction was "dude its just a celebrity and no matter what it has in it, its going to be in a junk yard with peeling paint in 5 years" Nobody will care.
More GM oddities...

'91 Lumina Z34 with manual trans.
Classic crappy CL pictures but there is likely a good Challenge car right there!
15 second 1/4 mile times when new.
