Rubber bumpers does not equal 1970. That's got to be a 74 or newer. I wonder how bad the rust under the battery is.

Those bumpers look like the early ones. Bad photo but they don't look like the later ones to me.

This car has 2 trunks and someone STILL felt the "need" to mount a luggage rack to the rear deck lid?

I don't think this is a 1970, but even tho I once owned a 914, I'm not sure if they deleted the 1.7/1.8 or 2.0 badge once the 2 liter was the only engine choice. Looks like a '75 or '76, to me.

"Carbuetor"(sp?) work needed" may not necessary mean this car has carbs...just that it has some kind of fuel problem.

At $1500, I'd go take a look (especially under the battery) if it was closer.
