DMFA (Definitely Mine, Fully Affiliated)
I bought it in the spring of 2016 and changed the timing belt, tensioners, idlers, water pump and oil pump. I also changed the rear diff oil, gearbox oil (Valvoline Synthetic 75/90 in both), brake fluid and front calipers and rotors. The front brakes are from a '00 Legacy so 15" steelies will no longer fit. Almost forgot! I broke one of the ABS tone rings when I installed the Legacy brakes so it no longer has ABS. I averaged 33 mpg going to and from work.
The car runs great and drives pretty well. It has very sloppy engine and trans mounts that contribute to ridiculous clutch shudder. It also needs rear wheel bearings. It's still driveable but they grumble a bit. It has no stereo, it came without one and I never bothered to install one. It also has a Karma Chameleon check engine light for a downstream O2 sensor. The wipers also do funny stuff. They act like the transmission is loose, they sort of flop to the end of their travel then flop down to where they park.
Has lots of rust and some cosmetic damage. I paid $800 then dumped a few hundred into it and put 9,000 miles on it.
I'll start at $800 OBO. I'm pretty flexible on the price for the hive. I have a set of brand new 15" tires on steelies that will NOT fit, ( $300 well spent. lol) unless you go back to O.E. rotors and calipers, that can be negotiated into the deal, should you want them.
I might do a trade, depending on what you have and how much cash you want stuffed into Turtle's glove box.
Look it has a hood!
Still has these things.
No A/C.
Also comes with orange rubber palm gloves that don't fit me.
Wasn't me.
Didn't do that either.
Rust! We hates it! Just wait, it gets worse.
Gruesome!!!
