Hi everybody! For some inexplicable reason I have purchased a 1989 Honda CRX Si, in Rio Red, from a guy in Indiana.

It has a stock D16A6 engine, which has some sort of catastrophic internal damage, and there is lots of rust.

I'm getting a slow start, not even having many of the tools I will be needing. The battery is out, lower splash shield, radiator, and fuel filter. Next steps are distributor, exhaust, and transmission linkages.

But it will be fun. I've never done something like this before, but always wanted to. I can thank Alan Cesar from GRM for the addiction.

I have a blog started at PROJECT CRX, but will be coming here quite frequently to ask ridiculously dumb questions.

I apologize once again for feeding your addiction. I don't know what it is, but there's something about Richard Nixon on top of a Ford Escort that somehow makes people want to pursue more automotive abuse.

And by that I mean being abused by, rather than abusing their cars.
