So did you ever try the open source tune?  I have owned my 2005 2.5i manual legacy for 13 years and am trying to figure out how much longer to hold onto it. Been the best car I ever owned,but god I hate that lazy throttle and throttle hang. Been looking at sprint boosters too. 

Where does one find a free Thule box?

I haven't done anything with a tune. The longer I drive this car the more irritating the throttle becomes.

This is my second free Thule box. The key is to find the slightly broken ones that people are sick of storing. This one has the key broken off in one of the locks... works great with a screwdriver

With the Subaru now sold, we can wrap this up.

The final budget toal was $1,936.21.

I kept the snow tires I put on it ($304) as well as the roof rack ($60) and some random stuff that I already had ($0), then sold the car for the same $500 that I paid for it for a total of $864... bringing my total expense to $1,072.21 to own this car for 13 months and 16k miles.
