Cali Shorty, A Fly And Drive D100 from Hesperia

This one has been in my possession for a while, but hopefully things will start moving on it soon.  There is a whacky Fly 'n Drive story from Hesperia to Chicago that involves three busses, a faulty turbo, a stolen battery, and being stranded in the desert at night, but you will have to wait for all of that.  This is just a placeholder for now. 

But here is a photo or two from the trip to whet your appetite.  

More later, but I am in the middle of another thread, and realized I never started one for this truck.  (Or if I did, I never added it to my watch list)

Given the parlance of our youth, I've been misled by yet another of your thread titles. 

Is this as clean on the inside as it looks on the outside? 

Are those newer journey wheels? They don't look right on that truck lol.

Dodge Charger 17" steel wheels and hubcaps.  I talked the seller down over $1000 if he'd keep the chrome 22s that were on ut.

This one was intentional.

The interior is livable for a 2 day solo dash from SoCal to Chicago, but that is about it.  Fortunately,it's a very small area, and easy to freshen up..

Bad ass truck. I love these. I look forward to seeing it lowered, as it should be. 

Can't wait to see what you do with it! As you know, I love the 1972-93 Dodge trucks.

So this showed up on my doorstep yesterday.

It appears that I am horrible at updating build threads.

Also, most of the photo are dead in this thread.   I will see what I can do about that (if I remember)

 

But as hinted earlier, I have more than a couple '72-93 Dodge trucks and Ramchargers.   
And I just added another to the stable.

'91 W350.  360TBI, with a D60 front and Western plow.    



It's pretty darn rusty, but I don't care.    I'm just going to use a few of the less desirable off parts of it for other projects, and sell off the rest.  

Nice truck! None of us go to Hesperia voluntarily, but if you were stuck out here (old news now), should have gotten in touch, my farm is a wee bit south.
