Go to a Buffet, everything looks so good, you fill a plate to look like Mt. Vesuvius and you can't eat half of it.

Buffet Eyes.  I've got it with cars.  Another 10 minute job kicking my butt, laying in bed staring at the ceiling, car's all built in my head.......

Getting good paperwork on the Saab 96 is very difficult/impossible, so once the engine is back in and running, it's going down the road.  Same with the Wagon I just bought to replace my truck.  Wagons aren't trucks, now I know.

Don't know if it's old age, too many projects, too diverse interests or what.  Buffet Eyes.

There's a tv show about a man with buffet eyes, and what's being done about it https://www.history.ca/shows/rust-valley-restorers/

Nice term for it!

Wagons can be almost as handy as trucks, just add a hitch and pull a 4x8 utility trailer you've added sides to and you've got both enclosed and open hauling ability.

When it comes to starting projects (car or otherwise), absolutely.

When it comes to a buffet - no, because I'll still eat it all.

Sounds like just cutting out buying cars with questionable paperwork will get you way ahead.  wink

Opposite in my case.

I eat one thing at a time on my plate until it is gone and then move on.

One car project at a time until it is done.

One woman until she kicks me out for not multitasking!
