Paint is off.
Needs to be wrapped like this.

94 in a 70.
No ticket.
Good for her! That took longer than I thought it would.
Over the weekend we put 1100 miles on the Rowdy Audi, moving AK2 to school. AW refused to take the 267k-mile 2010 Ody, so we ordered a fridge and microwave from the jungle site and had them shipped to school, which made Tetrising everything into the RS6 much easier.
Mackinac Bridge in the distance:
Taking Rt 2 west from St Ignace, Lake Michigan is just a few feet away:
Then after a few hours driving north and west, Lake Superior is only a few feet out the other side:
Eventually we ended up in Houghton, home of Michigan Tech:
Move-in was uneventful other that the torrential rain, so my first piece of Tech swag is an umbrella. :-(
A few pix from around town, trying to give a sense of how hilly it is up here:
That last pic is on campus, between AK2's dorm and the hockey arena. At the top of the hill, the engineering frat house had a sign that said "Parents Drink FREE!", so I did. They were the best Old Milwaukees I've ever had. Between MonZora, the RS6, and the Childo, they wanted to make me an honorary member. 🤘🏻😎
After meeting a bunch of AK2's hall mates and a final run to Wally World for essentials, I hit the road for the solo drive home. Solo? Yeah, AW had a fever and cough start the day before this trip, so we decided she should stay home.
Superior was a little angry, but still beautiful:
The weather cleared up by the time I got back down to Lake Michigan, so I got this shot of Rowdy with the Mackinac Bridge in the background:
To the west of the bridge is Lake Michigan:
And to the east of the bridge is Lake Huron:
The drive was totally uneventful, and Rowdy knocked down some decent numbers:
Parent Weekend is in October. Maybe we'll be able to make the trip in SSheila.
Lots of good driving up there!
Not sure when parents weekend is, but Oct 11-12 is the rally in Marquette.
Not sure how I missed this, great purchase! I have had several but never anything with an S or R in the title! Twin turbo V8 for the win!
Love how AW gets pulled over doing 90 in a 70, no ticket, don't think that woudl be the case for of any of us.........

Does all of these have a "GENOCIDE" option on the dash?

Bahahahahahaha
The Rowdy Audi was filthy after the trip to move AK2 into her dorm, so we had her detailed over the weekend:
We dropped it off the day after I got the SS back from collision shop, so I drove the SS and Mama followed me in Rowdy. At a red light, this exchange took place:
Seriously, the RS6 looks like an angry caricature of a car, and it is proportioned like a life-size Hot Wheels. We couldn't be happier with our current fleet.
Ya know how people say that if they won the lottery that there would be signs?
This. This right here is like that (no, I don't mean to imply that your hard work was luck)

Oh, there will be more signs than just this! 🤘🏻😎
Before we signed the papers on 62 Challenge Cars, we agreed that this is a special car that will receive special care. In some movie, Jack Nicholson says to the female lead (Helen Hunt?) "You make me want to be a better man." Well, this car makes me want to be a better owner.
Raudi is a great conversation starter when we are out and about. The other night we stopped at the gas station, and there was a black 05-06 GTO at the next pump. I told AW "I bet that guy wants to talk cars." Yep.
But this post isn't about Raudi. This post is about how I may have an 05-06 GTO in my driveway soon. 🤘🏻🤣 Manual, of course. Paint looks rough but car is straight and sounded good. He looked to be a little younger than me, which is still old, and he said he's getting ready to trade it in. So I gave him my number and said to let me know what the dealer offered, and I can probably beat that. KBB says trade value for fair condition is $3500-$5300, and for good condition is $4500-$6300. Given the paint condition and the crappy aftermarket wheels, I'd be surprised if any dealer offered more than $2500 for a "20-year-old Pontiac"...
Damn, my buddy bought on '06 brand new and it was far and away the nicest car our group had. It's amazing that it's only worth that much nowadays. I get it though.

see if you can sweet-talk him into Challenge pricing
I mean, worst case it's a "heterogeneous parts lot" away from putting an LS2 in MonZora...
