Won't ship, messaged my buddy in NJ to see if he can/will get it and if he was coming my way any time soon.

Oil pan swapped and head torqued down. Hopefully ill get enough time throughout the day to turn around from my desk and put the valvetrain in and try to get it buttoned up.

im beginning to regret the adjustable cam gears decision. But, theyre cleaning up nice!

gotta get all new retaining hardware. But, i saved them! They'll look slick with the polished valve cover.

10-32. Nobody in town has what I need, so i had to order 100 packs from Amazon. Won't be here till friday.

Drivetrain wont go in till next week. Dammit.

What's the valve-cover plan?

In reply to TVR Scott (Forum Supporter) :

So, one  of two things is going to happen:

I traded the leather seats from E36 M3box for a window tint job and a powdercoat valve cover. The valve cover is supposed to look like polished aluminum when it comes back. Thats my preference if it actually does. If not, i will wrinkle coat the one in the picture and polish the raised letters.

Yo! the adjustable cam sprockets ROCK all polished up....so you can thump my noggin this is not a turbo version?

In reply to 759NRNG (Forum Partidario) :

Correct.  Non turbo. ALL.the bolt ons and porting, but stock cams.

Long tube stepped header, largwr throttle body, hot pcm, ported head and intake manifold, iceman cold air intake. Cam gears, lightweight underdrive pully, borla exhaust, bumped compression, wet shot of nitrous. Should do 150 to the wheel off tne bottle.

That looks great, it would be a shame to put unpainted, old steering lines on that beautiful engine.

smiley

I think the wrinkle coat would look awesome on that motor. I guess i like wrinkle coated valve covers though...

Spent an hour this morning cleaning up and getting organized again. Its sooo easy for me to go in a million directions at once on this project and never actually get anything done.

Such as....

We installed windows and rear bumper last night.

I looked back a few pages and couldn't find anything: did you have to refinish the wheels at all?  If so, can you describe materials and technique?

You'll need to log in to post.
