This is the epiphany I had just now.

Every Jan 1-10th I have bought a vehicle since 2016

Picked up a 2007 Civic 5 speed for a whopping $900 last night.

PO said it was hard to get into gear. New struts, tires, clutch, clutch slave and master with paper work. Drove it home after a quick parking lot bleed, looked at it tonight and got a little more air out of the system, the clutch pedal has a engagement and disengagement click, found the master bushing was bad making it leak some.

Driving home

Even came with service records

I appreciate it. Got a master on the way and some tuneup and rear brake parts on the way.

On the Civic found the shop that did the new clutch, and master and slave didn't replace the master and it was leaking some. Replaced it and we are in business. Made a good size rock auto order to get it safe and up to my standards.

Found the airbox broken when doing clutch master and epoxied it back together.

Fresh plugs fixed the rough idle.

Cabin air filter to help with some of the stink.

Rusty plug threads all the way down could have been a lot worse.

Got caught in sleet on the way home in the Civic. Waiting on parts again. Thanks FedEx for loosing the first round.

Oooh, shiny bits, that make you go whoa.  Neat car.  An old neighbor's kid had one.  No matter how hard she tried, that kid could not kill it.

New shiny bits that make it stop better. I know these are quite tough cars. Wife says it feels just like a new generation neon.

P.S. Nice score on the Civic! Be interested to know how it compares to the rest of the fleet in Ohio winters.

Premiorri ViaMaggiore Z Plus. Got 2 snows on them and they are quite good. They definitely have good feel and let go nicely.

Honestly, the ol civic feels like a slower tighter 2nd gen neon.

So update, basically everything is working perfectly. Civic got the last items on the list done, alignment, ac compressor, airbag recall, mtf change and summer wheels on. Omni I have been slowing chipping away on, both exciting. The focus and tabbie just need winter tires taken off. Nothing big at all happening here.

With the new job being .9 miles away vs 35miles I'm excited for the less maintenance.
