Then, just run a rotary muffler to keep it a bit quieter.

Hahahahah that's great! I have to remember that line.

I just realized what the exhaust is doing. Can you flip the manifolds like that simply by installing them on opposite sides? Or was there more modification involved?

I know on a 302 you can (had to do it). But to me those just look flipped, not swapped side to side since the collector points 'up' a bit.

In reply to Robbie & maschinenbau :

The exhaust ports and bolt pattern on these heads are symmetrical so yeah these are only flipped, and not swapped side for side

Buried back in the thread you can find that there were clearance issues on both sides with the manifolds in this orientation. Nothing is insurmountable with proper tools.

There are maths involved with this type of resonator. I didn't do any maths; it's shiny, so we kept it.

Well know fact: shiny helps the Helmholtzs resonate.

The math is trivial once you realize it's basically just a 4-d turbo encabulator, but with a reversible Tremie pipe and, obviously in this case, a fixed dingle arm.

Watch out for the spurving bearings though. If the pre-famulated amulite base starts side-fumbling, you're really hosed.

Today actually felt like progress. We used the F word, honestly, for a couple systems; finished.

Fuel pump driver module - done

Most of the wiring harness is loomed and tucked

Coolant hoses - done

Trans cooler and lines - done

Exhaust hangers - done

And got the shifter mounted enough to fit and adjust the cable
