Really nice job on the blasting!

How much did you reuse the media?  Did you change it some or just keep running the same stuff again and again?

I ran the same abrasive through again and again and again (crushed glass), only topping off with new as the old turned to dust and blew away.  Probably bought 7 bags of crushed glass in total (about $14 each), each bag lasts for about an hour of blasting.  45+ hours of blasting.

I confess I didn't dig too deep inside the cab on the back wall - I figure if the original primer is taking WORK to remove, and I wasn't seeing rust underneath it, I just left the primer.

Very interesting how shoddy the original primer application was all over the truck.  It's like they really just had "focus areas" for primer, and then hopes and dreams for the rest.

Before blasting the frame, I needed to be sure where the exhaust had to be. Tight fit.

I'm a big fan of Wimbledon White. I think that color scheme will look sharp

OH MY GOSH do I ever, yes indeed!  And I tell her how amazing she is every day. I tell her of the times I brag about her to others. I tell her how much I appreciate her as I'm using the tools/shop/vehicles she has let me have. She is awesome in every way!

And, four more hours of blasting:

Lots of rain, so no blasting today.

I fabricated a brace to put some strength back in where I had to cut to fit the exhaust pipe.  AND this needs to be removable to install/change mufflers.  Magnaflow on order.

Four more hours of blasting, and I'm half-done the bottom of the frame.

Found a crack too.  Easy fix, though: drill the end of the crack so it cannot propagate, grind a V and fill it in.

Supposed to rain on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I may deal with those (and the A/C Compressor notch, and the exhaust holes" at that point.

My hope is to get the frame finished tomorrow, and (if I'm lucky) get the crossmember blasted as well (or Thursday).

I have one week left to finish my goal of "everything blasted and primed by the end of the summer."
