I went through this whole thread today, really slow at work.  That truck is fantastic.

Fabricating bumper brackets.  Yes, I know you can buy them, but I wanted to make sure everything was exactly where I wanted it to be.

To fit the barrel engine cover closer, I need to move the evap solenoid.  Two brackets:

Forgot to photo the second bracket, but here they are in situ and connected:

Do you remember that 63 that I built over on the truck forum some years ago ? My wife and I installed the windshield right there in my shop. Everyone makes it out the be wizardry on these curved windshields.

If I could offer one word of advice on the job....Goop.

Goop hand soap. Everyone says to use soapy water. Rubbish. That runs off and gets everywhere and just makes a colossal mess without working too well. Goop hand soap will cling to the rubber and it's slippery as heck and when you're done it wipes off clean and leaves the rubber nice and shiny. It's a gamechanger. Other than that one tidbit, just use the rope trick and blunt picks. Personally I use weedeater string instead of rope. But I'm not sure it's any better or worse. You won't have any trouble with the job.

Brothers Truck videos suggest foamy glass cleaner.  That worked well for the rear window.

Not finding a local (Canadian) source for Goop yet.  Might be something equivalent.

It's mechanics hand soap. Comes in a little tub. No grit. It's just smooth cream. Color is white. I have to believe that there are several direct equivalents. You smear it on the rubber and the pinch weld and it stays there while you work.

There are. Will pick some up. Will do the window when I have a slot of time where my boys can help. Hopefully today, depending on when we collect SkinnyKid2's "new" car.

Picking up the car took up more of my schedule than I wanted, so no window install, but Kid2 is now the proud owner of a silver PT Cruiser.  Needs some work, but it's his.

On another forum, someone asked to see "before and after," so I did.  Sharing with y'all here:

Oh no!

Pictures of install?

Nature of failure?

Those big curved windshields always looked intimidating.

Thanks.  I also appreciate the feedback y'all give.  It does inspire me to keep going in a timely manner.

Got the rubber seal on the new windshield and waiting to psych myself up for the install.

Took one of the vent windows apart so I can blast it and install new rubbers. Mercifully didn't break anything.
