I'm guessing the chassis was wider than the rockers on the Panhard could accommodate without copious amounts of fabrication.

That IS a concern in that you could end up sitting behind the windshield post of the Panhard.

Considering how small the car is, I don't see how that is anything but inevitable with more than one adult human in the front.

I just opened a 4-page build thread lacking a single picture of any progress being made. Get on with it already! laugh

the Subaru could have fit if I had more skill and the proper equipment to pull it off safely. The Blazer frame will have less of a chance of me folding it up after the Sawzallectomy.

The pallet is sitting on the original front and rear suspension anchors as well as the floor. The inner rockers have about 3" of room if I'm willing to forego a small amount of floor to ceiling height. There is enough room to make it work if the seat bottoms are redone. It' not going to be a comfy fit but we will fit.

That multipurpose column/control panel is awesome! Looks like some sort of steampunk/animae design.

Needs a tuneup. A wire is visibly arcing and there are miss fire codes. There is a Sony head unit and aftermarket speakers in the doors. Didn't want to risk driving it home tonight so I'm bringing back cap rotor and wires tomorrow before the ride home.

Does anyone have hands on experience with the 2wd s10 lowering springs and spindles?

My goal is a set of 3" front springs, the 2" Belltech spindles, 2" rear springs and 3" blocks.

Remember this car is going to be more traditional hot rod and cruiser occasionally used for other venues like the Challenge.

I'm concerned about unforseen hazards. What comes to your mind?

First problem i see is that your plan will have the rear about 1.5 inches higher than the front.

3 inch coils are one full round from the stock coil cut off. Save the money.

You will need a frame notch in the rear for ride quality.

I can't remember what spindles on s10 dont push wheels outwards, so do homework before purchasing, as i think you will have enough wheels and tires clearance issues already.

I would do spindles then cut half a coil to start.  Then 3” springs in rear with 1” block.  Then cut another half coil and go 2” block if needed.  3” blocks are just too tall for my taste and put some lever action on the spring.

That is a good plan. The more I read about the taller blocks the more I realize I'd rather keep the axle closer to the spring.

Is there an excessive camber "gain" from the spring being this much lower?
