I would think you could easily adapt the A/C compressor to the Caddy engine...

Jeez I would love to build another 500.  My last one I put in a cam that was actually smaller than stock and used a low-stall 6-bolt diesel torque converter in the TH400.  It idled at 550 and it was all over by 4000, but the torque was insane
