SOLD!
eastsideWife is in the process of getting a new car, so we are selling her old one. She bought it new in 2015, and it has been dealer maintained the whole time.
Details:
- 2015 VW GTI S 4-door
- About 113K miles
- DSG transmission (I think this is the only option)
- Heated tartan cloth seats.
- OZ Rally wheels with Continental tires installed in 2023. Plenty of tread left.
- I think the brake pads are only a few years old.
- Includes steel wheels with winter tires. Winter tires have plenty of tread but are old enough they should be replaced soon.
Issues:
- Clearcoat is pretty much gone from the front bumper, and it is starting to delaminate from the rear bumper.
- I think one or two of the wheels have some minor scrapes.
- Right rear tire has a slow leak. It had a patch installed just before swapping to winter tires in 2024, so I am assuming it is leaking there. It is slow enough I've just been checking and adding a few psi every now and then this year.
- It is a southern Ohio car, so it spends time on salted roads. I've included underside pictures.
- Otherwise, it a ten year old car with some wear and tear
Asking $7800. We are east of Cincinnati a few miles off the I-275 loop.

Good price. The right seats and transmission. GLWS!
Thanks! I'd be tempted to keep it for myself, and sell my Mazda5, but I really like having the extra cargo space.

Fix the ram 50 😂
I do still really want this but I just don't think it'd work financially. Four door hatch with boost and DSG is super nice though!
BTW, in February 2020 you said you were going to put it up for sale "in a few months". 63 months is a few, right?

Covid and working from home killed her motivation to go new car shopping. Took a while before she decided it was time again.
I saw one of these at the dealership when I took my Taos in this week, I was thinking I wonder if they would trade me
. Good Luck on the Sale!

Yup, totally enjoy that combo in our project car. Love the wheels, too.

The seats do feel really nice. Lots of support in all the right places.

The seats are pretty comfy.

Fuel economy's pretty good too.
In reply to Pete. (l33t FS) :
I forget the exact numbers, but our Mk7 GTI delivered better mpg than expected. Glad to hear that it’s gone to a good home.

Going to make him keep the Volvo for himself?

No, he deserves this and the Volvo is nicer than anything I've ever owned so it's a good trade. Plus if I let him win this round I can bargain for more cats and plants

It's about as good as the last turbo 2l that I owned (1st gen S40) and almost as good as the last VW Golf that I had (A2, 5 speed 8v) which was also red

"Why are you so enamored with European cars, Pete"
Fuel economy was less than good at the start of the trip because.
Come on.
It's a TFSI with a DSG.
