Sure it can. I picked-up an original owner A4 1.8T with 110K miles for $1,000, with records back to new. If you can deal with Audi-ness, many bargains abound, especially for the A6s with failing automatics. From the era of "lifetime fill" fluids - this one just took a little longer to fail... or are you thinking they're asking too much?
