2016 Cadillac ELR crossing the Mecum auction block in July.
I didn't know it was a thing, but it apparently has the factory-optional "performance package."

Just sold mine after putting 80k miles on it. It was similarly equipped. The sport package reduced the 0-60, gave it a higher top speed, and had larger wheels, front rotors and calipers. Interestingly, there was a 'competition' driving mode. As much as I tried, I could never discern how it changed the performance or handling. It was a heavy car, but hid its weight well. Noise-cancelling interior, great sport seats, great ride due to magnetic dampers (adjustable).
I still feel that it one of the most visually stunning cars made in the last 20 years. Sold it because we needed a larger car, and we were concerned with parts availability. There were only 3300 of them made in 2 years. 2014 and 2016. They didn't make any in 2015.

Thank you for the insight on the performance package, that answers my question perfectly. And it's interesting that there was a gap in production like that.
It sounds like you really enjoyed your ELR.
Interesting that the 2016 ELR Performance is so much faster than the Volt it's based on. The Volt is 0-60 in ~8.5 - 8.8 seconds, the ELR is ~6.5 seconds. That's quite a difference!
They are awesome looking cars. The lead photo doesn't do them justice. Enchanter's pics do a better job. It's hard to believe that's a near 10 year old car.

I agree that Enchanter's pictures are much more flattering.
I also just remembered that there used to be a local ELR that parked at the tiny charging station by the Super Target, though I haven't seen it in a long time.

Its the color, black doesnt do the body style justice. It is a beautiful car, if Cadillac would make one with more range on the pure electric mode I'd be all over it, but the NVH on the hybrid motor once the charge wore out was less than Caddilac like. Of course Im still partial to the red
