Escort wagon shell

Escort wagon shell with title.  Trade for cool water-cooled vw stuff, random tools, or fresh baked goods.  It was an electric car conversion that sat forever from California, almost no rust. I got as far as you see it in the photo to pushing it in the garage, but I have too many projects.  I am pulling the electrical bits this weekend then the countdown starts to scrap.  Speak now or it will be turned into rebar to build buildings in other countries probably by the end of the month.  Sooner if I get the feeling.  -keith j

Yes cleveland area, and just to make it clear its free, its maybe worth 50 in scrap, or you could part it out and make 40 ha.

If we can talk Patrick into taking it and storing it at his place, I have a spare BP that can go towards the cause.

Wait- an electric car conversion? What was apart of the conversion?

It said electric conversion in the description so if I am reading this correctly it would need harnesses and a lot of stuff to convert it back to a gas engine?

Or was it bought as a conversion candidate and needs engine trans.

Im tired and my brain is mushy haha

I believe it had an electric motor bolted to an adapter which was then bolted to the stock transmission. No idea about what harness/electrical parts are left.

Patrick decided he wants the fun of rescuing a clean shell without the stress of owning an old Ford, so he offered the wagon to me as a vessel for one of my Escort LX-E drivetrains. I have two mostly complete cars so we can pull the whole harness from one of those if we need to. Current plan is to attempt the swap over a weekend this spring at Patrick's house.

Stampie set dates and we'll make it happen, slowbird needs challenge escort wagon.  It's at my house now, Keith is on board and gumby sounds suspiciously interested in helping
