For more than a decade, the Tuesday of Monterey Car Week has been set aside for Carmel’s Concours on the Avenue. This year’s show again didn’t disappoint.

The event felt more like a big cruise-in or automotive street party than the more traditional and restrained concourses. And, again, the day turned into a bit of a Porsche party. Also adding to the fun vibe was a new class for wagons and another for micro cars and other oddities. One of the most talked about classes was a seldom seen group of vintage Midget race cars.

Alain de Cadenet and Donald Osborne ably emceed this year’s event, with the proceeds benefitting The Carmel Foundation. Thanks to strong attendance and corporate backing, this free event has become an integral part of the Monterey Car Week.
