RIP Lido ... one of the great movers and shakers of the 20th century American auto industry. His bio is definitely an American success story. I'd encourage everyone here to read his bio. You might not like the K-cars, or the mini-vans, but you have to appreciate the marketing genius of both of those products. I certainly do. After all, he championed the Mustang as well when he was at Ford. IMO, I put Lee right up there with Bob Lutz and Harley Earl as the most influential people of the American auto business in the twentieth century.

Man would I be pissed if at the end of my life all the pictures they showed associated me with k cars and those berking vans. Didn’t he have a lot to do with the viper?
