Thought you guys may like this, my dad purchased a 100% original 1957 Bel Air a few months ago. His plan is to make the car a reliable driver and spend his retirement racking up the miles
A few cool details.
100% numbers matching
24k original miles
Came with a box in the trunk that had the original spark plugs, cap rotor etc.
Original paint and interior.
The only place it has been touched is under the hood, the motor was removed and the interior under the hood was repainted, the motor has been repained (but is the original motor)
We did maintenance items last weekend, plugs, wires etc etc. It also has new (factory spec) exhaust system from the manifolds back. I learned what dwell is

I have the exact same pair of shoes! Unfortunately, my father doesn't have the same taste in cars...

He is a wildman, went through the NC police academy at 60 years old after retiring from a full career at GM.

I thought you kind of resembled Mr. Peabody, or Sherman.
No, I just act like Mr. Peabody.
Nice. A 4-door. That's quite refreshing, since all you see is coupes and convertibles.

The 2 door models all got so expensive, the four-doors are all an everyman can afford, anymore. And they're still great- looking cars, with added practicality. Throw some seat belts in the back and you've got a family cruiser!

Clearly some Photoshopping. Nobody in their right mind would be eating over the hood of that car.
Cool. Any options beyond the 283/PG? You really could order them any way you like back then.
Just showed that pic to Mrs. Woof and she said the same thing. Holy E36 M3, that's unbelievable!
