I'm having better luck with youtube than the official app that I dropped $9 on. That thing keeps glitching and I have to close and restart the app every few minutes. Youtube works like a champ. Shoulda saved my $9.

I have https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byfmOYqaO5U on my computer and the ACO app on my phone. I gotta be honest, Ford's fight is really worth a watch.

The iPad version has always worked best for me, for some reason.

I'm stuck watching Cars 3 with my 4 year nephew - but his joy makes up for missing the start of Le Mans.

I hope they make it right for the Ferrari team. That p2 driver needs a talking to.

And as they are saying on tv the Ferrari is effectively impounded for the rest of the race so the team is stuck here for the duration of the race. They will not get the car back until late tomorrow.

Watching on fox sports go via my laptop w/ a cord to our larger TV. We don't get fox sports 2 so this is nice. Also free if you log in w/ your cable provider creds.

I was out running errands, what happened w/ the Ferrari?

I saw the incident (LMP2 car passed the GTE-Pro Ferrari going into -- I think -- the Forza Chicane and before it was all the way past, it jinked to driver's left and punted the Ferrari off the tarmac into the armco) but not the follow-up. Last I heard, the incident was being investigated but what was the result? They need to park that LMP2 driver...

And all the p2 car gets is a two lap penalty.

Ferrari and another car in class coming to the chicane. The p2 car dives in to the inside making it three wide then pulls to the left and punted the Ferrari off in to the barrier destroying the car. The p2 car was not racing anyone and was several minutes behind the leaders. Just a stupid move on the p2 drivers part. I hope the team takes more action than the pethedic two lap penalty. I really don't get excited about the prototypes. I really enjoy the full body "street cars" Ferrari and ford battling it out with Porsche and the others. The corvettes are also a great story!!!

The #82 Risi Competizione incident got me sad...I always root for the team, they did great at Daytona earlier this year. That P2 driver just taking them out like that... was just wrong.

Well, Cars 3 was fun, especially if you like your racing history. And the little guy loved his first movie theatre experience. So that's time well spent.

Now, time to catch up on the big race.

Whole lot of drama with the LMP1 class this year. Not a Toyota fan so I'm pulling for Porsche to pull it off. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if no LMP1 cars finish on the podium.

Look like Toyota got both cars retired at the exact same time.

Both P cars are running, but one is WAY down in the order.

And that's it for P1???

Seems as if the P1 class needs a major adjustment. Kinda sucks to have just 4 cars in the class for Le Mans.

Bad, bad luck for Toyota with #7. What a bad time for the failure. The fact that a car with a blown clutch can drive (most of) a lap on pure electric power is awesome, though.

Good lord Toyota, you guys are killing me with the starts and stops of crippled cars. Looks like #9 was driving on the electrics on the front wheels with the rears trashed. And it made it to within sight of the pit lane. C'mon buddy, an old-school racer would be pushing that thing!

It's actually a bit reassuring to see the mightly LMP1s to show some weakness. They were so mighty for a while there. So Porsche will (probably) repeat as a winner, but this time without Audi behind them. The first win in the post-Audi era is always going to have a bit of an asterisk on it.

The LMP1s are hugely complex and expensive, that's why there are only a couple of companies that can afford (or want to afford) to race them. I love that they are what they are, but it is a shame nobody else is stepping up.

That's why I said "probably"! With the pressure off, they can manage the stresses on the car.
