Or Bonnet in the case of an English Truck. The paint on the nose of my Rover had always been questionable. The clear coat flaked off of both the fender and bumper cover on the passenger side and the hood never came up completely shiny. Over time, the clear coat cracked and also started to flake off. As Alveston Red Rovers are a bit rare, expecially in Disco2 flavour, I had to buy the first one that came up. It's not perfect, it had a couple of small dents in the middle, and the corners are scratched and chipped where it was stored on end.. but at least it was shiny.
I fixed the dents and then covered them up in the same flat black vinyl wrap I used to hide the worst of the original hoods lack of glossiness. The new logo smartens everything up nicely.
