Any Suzuki engine experts here?

The other thread got me wondering if anyone here is intimately familiar with the JA or M series engines for questions of engine swap information...?

Iirc we only got the j20a in the last Gen Chevy tracker and the sx4

There's a J series 2.3 in the Aerio.  I don't know if there's that much advantage to this vs. the J20a in the SX4.  I think the Aerio had an electronic throttle plate (instead of cable driven) and I hate the one in my SX4 so I think the best ideas is to swap in an LS.

Didn't the Sedan have the J23 as well? The Kazashi?

I'm a fan of the H25's personally. So compact, and make fun noises. I don't know what I'd stuff it into but I like them. 

A buddy and I are both running the J20 in our rockcrawler buggies. 

I'm in the process of changing my engine in my Sidekick from the 1.8 to the 2.3 from an Aerio.

I found a website claiming it can be done as they both have the same block. 

but I'm also looking at a swap to a Swift at some point and wondering again about an Aerio engine...

you might give the guys at Trail tough a call, I know they offer a 1.8 to j20 swap. They are also good people.

Dropped off the 2.3 Aerio engine at the shop to install this morning.  We'll see how it goes....
