Been trying to at least get the speed limiter on my '05 Malibu 3.5L LX9 removed and if possible a tune to the PCM.

I run HPDE3 up at VIR and hit the cars speed limiter on each of the 3 straits at roughly 105-108 mph with my undersized tires as well as my shifts are slow and if going over a rise such as at NJMP the engine pulls power.

Took the car the Mayhem Motorsports here in Raleigh, NC and none of the programs they had would work with it.

These guys say they can tune my car but I would feel better if any of you guys have heard anything good about them. http://www.pcmperformance.com/index.html

Looked around online and didn't find much review wise except a 2 people that said they do good work but no specifics and a couple people saying they want to do it but then the thread they are posting in dies.

This site (http://www.whiteautoandmedia.com/) mail tunes for the Pontiac G6 and the guy said it would work for my Malibu as it's the same engine, spent $425+ and the pcm he sent had my fuel gauge and tap to shift not working as well as a before/after dyno done the same day actually showed the "tuned" pcm to make less hp. All forms of contact were ignored. I just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off again.

Give these guys a call to see if they can help you out. I know both places can do mail order tunes.

http://www.pcmofnc.com/ I went to college with Alvin & Kelly (the owners)

http://rpmmotorsportsnc.com/ I used these guys to do some work on and dyno tune my 98 Z28 a few years ago. No complaints about them.

Looks like they use efilive and hptuners which doesnt support my car. Will shoot them an email just to be sure though.
